What is your degree subject (both if joint)?
Ba Social Welfare Law & Criminal Justice

Does ‘Being Bad’ relate well to the other modules you are taking?
'Being Bad' doesn't hugely relate to other subjects that i am taking.

If so, how? And if not, why not?
It was an elective module, my other modules do not cover similar topics.

Have you found ‘Being Bad’ too demanding, too easy, or at an appropriate level?
Overall, 'Being Bad' was at an appropriate level although 1 or 2 sessions where too easy.

Do you think the list of topics covered on the module was appropriate?
Yes

Are there any topics not included in the module that you would like to see included?
Cannabis/ drugs or Alcohol would be interesting topics to include.

Do you think that the format for classes has worked well?
The format for classes were okay however the lecture theatre was too big and not very comfortable to hold a two hour lecture in. At times it was difficult hearing the lectures as some lecturers did not use a mic. The handouts where a good idea yet wasted time handing out especially with such a huge lecture group.
What did you think of the module team?

Do you think it would have been better to have had more:
Small group discussions?

* Yes small group discussions would have been better so it would be easier to put views across as too many people had things to say and never got a chance as the group was so large and lecturers never had the time to listen.

Discussion and debate among the class as a whole?

* No, discussions and debates amongst the class as a whole doesn't work that well for me. A few people make a few points and it didn't go very far.
Information and talk from lecturers?

* No, Information from lecturers was useful and sufficient, the talk in some lectures did drag on at times and i didn't find that useful. Perhaps a little more information or discussion on the coursework would have been very helpful to guide us.

The approach taken in the module is interdisciplinary (drawing on perspectives from English Literature, Film Studies, Creative Writing, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Media Studies and Politics): do you think this a useful way of approaching the topics covered in the module?

Do you think that interdisciplinary modules are a good idea?
It is a good idea, linking ideas and knowledge from different subjects and bringing them together.
Do you think you have benefited from the interdisciplinary approach taken in the module?
yes
Would you like to see more modules that cover this kind of subject matter?
It would be good to see more modules that deal with this kind of subject matter for students who are taking modules that relate well with them.

Are you planning to take the follow-up module PH2004 ‘It Shouldn't’t Be Allowed’ at level 2?
I don't know yet, i will still be in Level 1 of my study in Sept, but will consider it for year 2 once i have more information.

Would you recommend ‘Being Bad’ to a friend?
Yes, i would recommend 'being Bad' to a friend, i already have discussed many of the issues with friends!

Do you think that the blogs (web logs) were a good idea?
Yes definitely, weblogs are a good idea. i thoroughly enjoyed them when i had the time to keep them up to date! You get to share thoughts, ideas, views with others and put your point across. You can never be right or wrong!

What did you think of the other assessments (e.g. would it be better to have one longer assessment rather than two shorter ones?)?
Yes one longer assessment would have been better as i found having 2 separate ones with short word count challenging and the words weren't enough.

What have you learned from the module?
From this module I've learnt different views from people and what they think on topics that effect society. I've learnt the history of Social bandits which i didn't know before. I've learnt how to maintain weblogs.

What parts of the module have you found most useful and why?
I found reading and responding to other weblogs useful as you learn so much in that way and in your own time.

What parts do you think were a waste of time and why?
I wouldn't say it was a waste of time.

Are there any other comments you wish to make regarding ‘Being Bad’?
It was fun, shocking sometimes! An eye-opener.
